5 Tell-Tale Signs You Should Rebrand Your Business
Have you been feeling like something is a little off with your business lately? If you’re reading this article, chances are that you have. Sometimes the problem is much deeper than your social media or marketing efforts. Here are 5 signs you might need to rebrand your business.
1. You feel disconnected from your brand.
Feeling uninspired lately or generally just ‘blah’ when it comes to your brand? Chances are if you are feeling that way your customers might be feeling it too. Sometimes you can feel disconnected from your brand because the brand its self is not quite right. You might also be lacking enthusiasm because your brand is outdated and stale. If it’s been several years since you updated your brand, now might be the time to rebrand your business. A fresh new look can often help you find the motivation to serve your clients and customer with renewed excitement.
2. You aren’t attracting the right clients or customers.
Hearing crickets from your website or other marketing efforts? Or maybe you’re getting a lot of clients in the door, but they aren’t your ideal clients. If your brand isn’t connecting with your target market then really, what is the point? Now might be a good time to really examine your business and identify who you want to serve with your products and services. A rebrand can help you discover the right messaging and positioning to catch your prospect’s attention by pulling out the key characteristics of your ideal customer and learn how to speak directly to them.
3. You are embarrassed by your current brand.
Do you cringe when you see your logo or have to send people to your DIY website? Being embarrassed by your brand is definitely not OK. You should be shouting about your business from the rooftops whenever you get the chance. However, if you aren’t proud of what you’ve created, how can you expect others to genuinely be interested in what you are selling? If you’ve been shying away from sharing your brand with others, then it might be time to think about changing up your look.

4. Business is great, but you want to take it to the next level.
Maybe when you first started your business good enough was, well, good enough. Or maybe you are expanding your services or offerings. If that’s the case for you, it’s time to take another look at your brand. It’s likely if you are changing your business on a significant enough scale, your audience will be changing as well. You’ll probably want to re-visit your messaging and perhaps even invest in a new logo and website as you rebrand your business.

5. You’re changing your business objectives or goals.
Sometimes what once seemed like a great business idea, doesn’t always pan out. If you are totally changing up your business into something completely new, it’s definitely time to rebrand. It’s natural to want to take the easy way out and reuse your old brand assets to save time and money, but this could end up creating a not-so-pretty ‘franken-brand.’ Don’t just slap a new logo on your business and call it a day. Take the time to rebrand your business properly with due diligence.
